Crop marks
The small lines at the corners of a print file. They show the cutter exactly where the trim size runs – like a cutting line on fabric. Many online printers add them automatically, so you usually don't have to. More important than crop marks is that the trim size is stored in the PDF itself (TrimBox) – PreflightPilot checks that.
