Cookies & analytics

PreflightPilot does not use cookies. For anonymous, aggregated usage statistics (e.g. how often a page is viewed) we use the analytics service GoatCounter – without cookies, without personal data and without profiling. Only the page viewed, referrer, approximate location (country, region), screen size and browser/operating system category are recorded. So that a reload doesn't count as a new visit, GoatCounter briefly recognizes repeat views via an anonymized value – without cookies and without a permanent identifier. Your choice of units (inches or millimeters) is remembered in your browser's local storage. It never leaves your device.

Local processing

The tool processes all input as well as the images and PDFs you check or fix exclusively in your browser. No image files, PDFs or print data are transmitted to a server or stored.

Program libraries (jsDelivr)

For PDF checking, fixing and color conversion, the tool loads program libraries (pdf.js, pdf-lib, jsColorEngine) from the content delivery network jsDelivr when needed. For technical reasons, your IP address is transmitted to the CDN operator. Your files are not transmitted. Legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in fast, reliable delivery). Color management component (LaydoStudio)

Conversion to print colors (CMYK) uses a program component loaded from laydo-studio.at – also a service of Robikett e.U., hosted on Netlify (see below). No files are transmitted.

Phone transfer (“Send from phone”)

Only if you use this feature: so that your phone and computer can find each other, both briefly connect to a signaling server (hosted by Railway Corp., USA), which only exchanges the connection data needed to set up a direct connection. In addition, a STUN server operated by Google (stun.l.google.com) is queried to determine your device's public network address; your IP address is transmitted to Google in the process. The file itself is then sent directly and encrypted (WebRTC/DTLS) from device to device – the signaling server never sees file contents. Legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (providing the feature you requested).

Hosting (Netlify)

This website is hosted by Netlify Inc. (USA). When you access the site, server logs (IP address, browser type, time) are stored for technical reasons. Netlify participates in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. More information: netlify.com/privacy.

Google Fonts

This website loads fonts from Google Fonts (Google LLC, USA). In the process, your IP address is transmitted to Google. Legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in consistent presentation). Google participates in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework: policies.google.com/privacy.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. Since we don't collect personal data ourselves, these rights usually only concern data held by the third-party providers named above. For requests: robert.musil@robikett.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. The authority responsible for us is the Austrian Data Protection Authority: dsb.gv.at.
