Imposition & sheet size

Printers usually don't print a single sheet but many copies of your design (“ups”) on one large press sheet, which is cut apart afterwards. If your size fits the standard sheet well, there's hardly any waste – and your print job gets cheaper. That's also why odd custom sizes sometimes cost surprisingly more than a standard size.
