Paper weight (gsm)
The weight of the paper per square meter (g/m², often written gsm) – and a good hint at how thick it is. For orientation: regular copy paper is about 80 gsm, a sturdy flyer about 135–170 gsm, a premium business card about 300–350 gsm. More grams = sturdier and more premium in the hand. In the US, paper is often specified in pounds (lb) instead; ask your printer if you're unsure how the two compare.
